A new report published by the INSIGHT project paves the way towards the definition of a new professional profile, the Industrial Symbiosis Facilitator. Building not only on an analysis of current literature and existing training programmes but also on 30 successful cases studies and 64 interviews with stakeholders, it explores current knowledge, skills, and qualifications required by industrial symbiosis. The report highlights interpersonal skills and legislation knowledge as instrumental to overcome the barriers hampering the implementation of industrial symbiosis.
